What We Do

We are a Maine building company that specializes in general contracting, construction management, design/build, pre-construction, and self-performing services for clients in commercial, corporate, healthcare, educational, and housing. Our offices are located in Lewiston and Portland, with jobs throughout the state.

Our Values

Quality — Our culture of employee development and collaboration ensures that the stakeholders’ singular goal is always in focus.

Safety — By investigating and learning from past incidents, focusing on planning, and encouraging individual commitment to safe practices, we mitigate risk on the job site while keeping focus on the finished product.

Community — By providing safe and gainful opportunities to our employees, we build our communities through personal enrichment and development.

Working With Us

At Hebert Construction, we’ve cultivated an open atmosphere and encourage employee interaction between all levels. We value company-wide respect, communication, and collaboration. From our Maine offices to the field, our team works cohesively. It’s appreciated when employees offer assistance when they see it’s needed, and they can count on it in return.

Our commercial contracting & construction team is driven, kind, honest, and supportive, and this is reinforced by having direct relationships with management and company owners. The people at Hebert Construction aren’t afraid of hard work or getting dirty, and it’s not uncommon for our Carpenters and Laborers to work side by side with Project Managers.

Our skilled laborer program offers training to those who recently graduated from high school or transitioned from another industry or military service. Once they have gained experience and knowledge through hands-on training and mentorship, they will move on to carpentry and supervisory programs.

We support employees who have or are achieving professional certifications or licenses by assisting with required classes and offering flexible time. In addition, we identify existing employees who we want to promote to new skills and support them through training, including crane school, AutoCAD classes, welding, project management, and safety courses.
